Arriving at Goa Giri Putri

Arriving at Goa Giri, I had to go upstairs to reach the main temple. Before entering the temple, there was Tirta (holy water) for blessing our self. After that, I prayed to the temple outside the cave temple. This temple called “Pura Tri Purusa”. Furthermore, I would enter the entrance of the cave temple. I was quite surprised by the entrance because it looks smaller than my body. All people must look down and slump to reach the cave. It’s quite weird but was a challenging experience.

Praying in Goa Giri Putri

Although the entrance of the cave was small, I totally surprised because there was a huge cave inside. There were 3 main sections in the front, in the middle, and the backside for praying in Goa Giri Putri. In the front section, there were four shrines for begging life’s safety and prosperity. For the middle sections, there were five shrines. The three shrines were upstairs and the other two were downstairs. These shrines were believed to cure illness. Still in the middle, there was a place for meditation with natural stalagmite. The last section was at the backside and had four shrines. I was prayed to all the sections. I also did melukad, a ritual for blessing our self with holy water. After finished the ritual, a blessed man (pemangku), gave me a holy bracelet called Tridatu who had three colors which is; red, black, and white to protect me every time.
